NASA scientists launched a special Consoler probe to assure the former planet that it was nothing personal, and that it will make a “great dwarf planet.”

In August, the International Astronomical Union downgraded Pluto to a dwarf planet. The panel of experts met to officially redefine the characteristics of a planet. To deliver the news to the distant orb about its newly lowered status, scientists at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center launched a special messenger probe in September.

Ned’s Atomic Dustbin fué (es) una banda parte del movimiento “grebo” de principios de los 90′s en Inglaterra. Canciones divertidas y poperas pero con un tinte funky y duro. Menos fresas que el Manchester sound.

Grey Cell Green es una rola de su segundo album God Fodder. Una canción simpática y divertida, pero con un twist. “Since I hide her, since I hide me!!! Yooour disahaaaieerr!!!!!! Disayer!”

Desde hace rato queria decir dos cosas.

1. El Gran Cometa del 2007. El cometa McNaught pasó entre la tierra y el sol entre el 12 y el 14 de enero para todos nosotros que nos encontramos en el hemisferio norte. Visible a simple vista DE DIA! llegando a ser incluso más brillante que Venus. Wow!
Tristemente estuvo casi siempre nublado en Monterrey como para poder haberlo observado. Ademas nuestra querida “ciudad de las montañas” esta rodeada por ellas asi que era casi imposible verlo al estar el cometa muy cerca del horizonte.

2. Felicidades al “Negro” Gonzalez Iñarritu y “Babel” por su triunfo en los Globos de Oro y por su proximo triunfo en los Oscares. Ánimo para el Gordo y el Fauno. Me da mucho orgullo ser mexicano! Se merecen todo el reconocimiento.

Les presentamos una de las últimas canciones de los 10,000, quizá entre las mejores y seguro de las más bonitas. El MTV Unplugged vino a traer el cierre perfecto de la primera y realmente valiosa etapa de este grupo estadounidense. Nadie de los fans pensamos que vendria a ser el último disco de Natalie y los ten tausand juntos, pero poco tiempo despues la violinista que toca en el Unplugged, Mary Ramsey (wow!) pasó a formar la nueva voz del grupo.

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Pluto is finally getting some respect — not from astronomers, but from wordsmiths.

“Plutoed” was chosen 2006′s Word of the Year by the American Dialect Society at its annual meeting Friday.

To “pluto” is “to demote or devalue someone or something,” much like what happened to the former planet last year when the General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union decided Pluto didn’t meet its definition of a planet.
